There’s something unique about getting to savor the flavor in a bottle of tequila made exclusively from the 100% Blue Agave Weber plant that not many consumers are used to experiencing.
It’s an opportunity to taste the magic that can only be captured in a bottle from the Jaliscan Highlands, also known as Los Altos de Jalisco.
From the woody aromas of the barrels, to the smooth and rich feeling of a hand crafted spirit, many brands try their best to replicate the puro agave taste.
What makes a tequila puro agave?
Tequila originates from the state of Jalisco in Mexico. Due to the environment the Blue Weber Agave plant grows in, The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) declared this area and practice a World Heritage.
Tequila brands that contain 100% puro agave in its bottles have varying distilling and processing methods, but all of them require the Blue Weber Agave to grow anywhere from 3-7 years before harvesting to take advantage of the plant’s full potential.
Then depending on how much the tequila is aged after baking, fermentation, and distillation, you’ll either have a blanco, a reposado, a joven, or an añesco.
What’s different about a tequila that isn’t puro agave?
The truth is, nothing can authentically match what can only be done through hard work, patience and a true love of the craft.
No added sugars, no gluten, and no watered down drinks. By avoiding mixto tequila options that use additives in an effort to not break your bank for a fun night out, you’re also less likely to deal with rough mornings the day after.
We know you enjoy drinking some of the best spirits the business has to offer, but don’t let a mixto tequila option push you to compromise and miss out on an authentic experience. Choose drinks that blend the rich culture of Jalisco, and the long-standing tradition of sipping on an alcoholic beverage made with true quality and care in mind.
But if drinking shots aren’t your thing, puro agave tequila will still level up any cocktail you’re interested in trying. We recommend a smooth paloma, the citrusy cantarito or the tried and true margarita.
After all, why choose anything less than the products made from the place the very drink originated from? We want the best for you, because you deserve nothing less.
How can I be sure I grabbed the right bottle?
